Suspect Sought in Carjacking and Robbery Offenses in the Seventh District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to carjacking and robbery offenses that occurred in the Seventh District.

 

 

  • On Monday, October 7, 2019, at approximately 4:45 am, in the 4200 Block of 4th Street, Southeast, the victim and suspect agreed to meet using the Tagged online application. Once at the listed location, the suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property and vehicle. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle has since been recovered. CCN: 19-178-905

 

  • On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at approximately 3:32 am, in the 4200 Block of 4th Street, Southeast, the victim and suspect agreed to meet using the Tagged online application. Once at the listed location, the suspect brandished a knife and assaulted the victim inside of a vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene with the victim’s property. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. CCN: 19-184-253

 

 

The suspect in the case from Monday, October 7, 2019, was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos below. The suspect in both cases is described as a black male who is 6’ – 6’2” in height, with a medium complexion.

 

 

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating these cases as potentially being related. In each of the above cases, transgender individuals were victimized after utilizing the Tagged online application. The Special Liaison Division is assisting with the investigation.
