I am honored and excited to assume command of the Seventh Police District and I look forward to working with our community partners to strengthen relationships and focus on fighting crime in 7D. Before being named commander, I served as inspector of the Strategic Intelligence and Tactical Branch, which gave me great insight into safety concerns throughout the District of Columbia. I also helped develop and lead the Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) which utilizes and intelligence-based, data-driven approach to identify, interdict, and interrupt violent offenders. I'm confident my experiences coupled with my strong leadership skills will help foster positive relationships with our community partners. I look forward to providing not only the most professional service to the community, but also in making 7D a safer neighborhood.
