Second Arrest Made in a Homicide: 1500 Block of Fort Davis Place, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced a second arrest has been made in reference to three homicides that occurred on Saturday, January 26, 2019, in the 1500 block of Fort Davis Place, Southeast.

 

At approximately 10:00 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Additionally, officers located two adult males inside of a vehicle, also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined the victims displayed no signs consistent with life. The victims remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

 

The decedents have been identified as 26 year-old Sean Shuler of Capitol Heights, MD, 26 year-old Javon Abney of Southeast, DC, and 24 year-old Tyrik Hagood of Northeast, DC.

 

On Tuesday, June 11, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested a 28 year-old adult male, of Northeast, DC. He has been charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.

 

On Wednesday, November 13, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 30-year-old Jonathan Winston, of no fixed address, was arrested by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.

 

This case remains under investigation.
