Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses in the Second District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District announce two arrests have been made in reference to multiple Robbery offenses that occurred on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, in the Second District:

 

  • Attempted Robbery (Snatch): At approximately 5:05 pm, in the 3800 block of Gramercy Street, Northwest, three suspects approached the victim and attempted to snatch the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. No property was obtained. CCN: 19-046-530

 

  • Robbery (Snatch): At approximately 5:30 pm, in the 4000 block of Brandywine Street, Northwest, one suspect approached the victim while another suspect waited nearby. The suspect snatched the victim’s property. Both suspects then fled the scene. CCN: 19-046-543

 

  • Theft Two: At approximately 5:40 pm, in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest, three suspects entered an establishment and took property. The suspects then fled the scene. CCN: 19-046-635

 

  • Attempted Robbery (Snatch): At approximately 6:00 pm, in the 3800 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest, three suspects approached the victim and attempted to snatch the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. No property was obtained. CCN: 19-046-580

 

  • Robbery (Snatch): At approximately 6:00 pm, in the 3600 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest, three suspects approached the victim and snatched the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. CCN: 19-046-583

 

On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, and a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, were arrested and charged with 4 counts of Robbery as listed above and one count of Theft Two.

These cases remain under investigation.
