Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, May 27, 2019, in the 1300 block of Mississippi Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 10:23 pm, the suspect and victims were engaged in a verbal dispute at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and assaulted the victims. The suspect then fled the scene. One victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The other victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 34 year-old Anthony Lee, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill while Armed (Knife).
