The Internal Affairs Bureau's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Investigations Division supports MPD’s efforts in providing a workplace free of discrimination. Any demeaning, derogatory, or abusive language, actions, and/or gestures relating to a person’s race, color, national origin, sex/ gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation, personal appearance, family responsibilities, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, matriculation, credit or retaliation for participating in the EEO process is investigated by this Division.
The EEO Investigations Division conducts investigations of EEO complaints and provides counseling and resolutions. The EEO Investigations Division assists sworn and civilian MPD employees regardless of rank, title, or position and other D.C. Government agency employees.
