Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced an arrest has been made in reference to a homicide that occurred on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, in the 200 block of Elmira Street, Southwest.
At approximately 12:22 am, members of the Seventh District responded to a call for a shooting at the listed location. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 28-year-old Ryan Matthew Addison of Southeast, DC.
On Monday, February 25, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court bench warrant, members of the Major Violators Section’s Fugitive Unit transported 29 year-old Joshua Artis, of Woodbridge, VA, to the Homicide Branch where he was charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
