Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Robbery of an Establishment (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, January 18, 2019, in the 500 block of 12th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 9:45 pm, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect brandished a handgun and made demands towards the victims. The victims complied. The suspect then fled the scene with the victim’s property.
On Friday, January 25, 2019, 52-year-old Johnny Griffith Carter, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery of an Establishment (Gun).
