On October 15, 2019, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) received notice from Yahoo that, beginning on October 28, 2019 users and administrators will no longer be able to post information to any of the Yahoo email community groups that are managed by the MPD. By December 14, all existing content will be permanently removed.
Since then, MPD has created a series of new Google Groups to provide uninterrupted support to our online community. The same MPD community outreach coordinators and district staff will continue to provide timely responses to your posts. We now invite you to join our groups!

- Third District: Official MPD-3D Community Group
- Fourth District: Official MPD-4D Community Group
- Fifth District: Official MPD-5D Community Group
- Sixth District: Official MPD-6D Community Group
- Seventh District: Official MPD-7D Community Group
- Special Liaison Branch: Official MPD Special Liaison Branch Community Group
To post questions, messages, or if you wish to receive emails of these postings, you must have an existing Google account or create a new Google account. Starting Monday, October 28, MPD will only respond to messages and posts submitted through Google Groups. MPD will no longer respond to any messages posted through Yahoo Groups or its email function if it continues to send messages.
