Suspect Sought in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 4800 Block of Texas Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, April 21, 2019, in the 4800 block of Texas Avenue, Southeast.

 

At approximately 12:02 pm, the victim confronted the suspect, at the listed location, in an effort to retrieve stolen property. The suspect brandished a handgun and pointed it at the victim. The suspect then fled the location with the property.

 

The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in this photo:
