Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Attempted Bank Robbery offense that occurred at the SunTrust Bank, located in the 6400 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest.
On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at approximately 1:23 pm, the suspect entered the bank at the listed location. The suspect engaged an employee in conversation then demanded US currency. The suspect fled the scene without obtaining any property.
On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, 55-year-old Harold Wright, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Attempt to Commit Robbery.
