
Firearm registration is the first step to lawfully possessing a firearm in the District of Columbia. Firearm registration is required for all residents of the District of Columbia; business owners in the District of Columbia; residents and non-residents with concealed carry licenses; retired law enforcement officers (MPD or outside agencies) with LEOSA/HR-218 privileges who reside in the District; and MPD-certified concealed carry training instructors for the purpose of conducting firearms training.
Firearm registration does not expire.

Firearms Portal
