Vehicle Sought in a Homicide: 2600 Block of Birney Place, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle in reference to a homicide that occurred on Monday, October 31, 2022, in the 2600 block of Birney Place, Southeast.

 

At approximately 8:39 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the sound of gunshots. Upon arrival, the members located a juvenile male victim, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

 

The decedent has been identified as, 14-year-old Antione Manning, of Southeast, DC.

 

The suspect’s vehicle was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos below:

 

 

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
