Vehicle of Interest Sought in a Homicide: 700 Block of Princeton Place, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch seek the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle of interest that is sought in a homicide that occurred on Friday, April 19, 2019, in the 700 block of Princeton Place, Northwest.

 

At approximately 4:07 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male, inside of a residence, at the listed location, suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

 

The decedent has been identified as 16 year-old Breon Austin, of Northwest, DC.

 

A nearby surveillance camera captured a vehicle of interest in this case. The vehicle is described as a gray, four door sedan. The vehicle has a sunroof and stickers on the drivers’ side of the vehicle. A photo of the vehicle can be seen below: 

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
