Vehicle of Interest Sought in a Hit and Run: 1600 Block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast

Investigators with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are investigating a traffic crash that occurred on Thursday, May 16, 2019, in the 1600 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast.

 

According to the preliminary investigation, at approximately 9:10 pm, the victim was traveling southbound on his motorcycle at the listed location. The motorcycle struck a vehicle that failed to yield right of way while making a left turn north bound from Minnesota Avenue, Southeast. The collision caused the driver of the motorcycle to be ejected. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle did not remain on scene.
