*Updated with Composite Sketch* Suspect Sought in an Enticing a Child Offense: 2700 Minnesota Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Physical and Sexual Abuse Branch seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to an Enticing a Child offense that occurred on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, in the 2700 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast.

 

At approximately 4:15 pm, the suspect attempted to entice a juvenile to engage in sexual acts.  The suspect then fled north in the 2700 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast, towards Anacostia Road, Southeast.

 

The suspect is described as a black male, 40 to 45 years old, approximately 5’10” to 6’0” in height, with a light mustache, shaved haircut, medium complexion, and medium to heavy build. He was last seen wearing dark jeans, a red short-sleeve t-shirt with white writing, brown flip flops, and carrying a brown shoulder bag. Below is a composite sketch of the suspect:
