Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District announced two arrests have been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Sunday, June 23, 2019, in the 1600 block of Park Road, Northwest.
At approximately 6:05 am, a suspect and victim were involved in an altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect stabbed the victim, at which point a second suspect became involved and stabbed the initial suspect. The victim and suspect one received treatment at area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A knife was recovered.
On Sunday, June 23, 2019, 47 year-old Barrington Peterson, of Southwest, DC, and 22 year-old Tyree Tyqvonna Nolan of no fixed address were arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
Additionally, Mr. Peterson has been charged in a separate Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, May 27, 2019, in the 3200 block of Pine Street, Northwest.
