Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District need the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, September 27, 2019, in the 200 block of Savannah Street, Southeast.
At approximately 9:41 pm, the suspect discharged a firearm at the listed location. A juvenile victim was struck by the gunfire. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim received treatment at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in locating 36 year-old Alexis Nehemiah Jones III, of Southeast, DC. Jones is currently wanted on DC Superior Court arrest warrant for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) in reference to this offense. Jones can be seen in the photos below and should be considered armed and dangerous:
