Suspect Sought in a Homicide: 300 Block of K Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, June 22, 2019, in the 300 block of K Street, Southeast.

 

At approximately 3:18 pm, members of the First District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an unconscious adult male victim, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

 

The decedent has been identified as 22 year-old George Hendrix, of Southeast, DC.

 

A suspect in this case has been identified as 18 year-old Duron Hudson. Hudson is described as 5’8” tall and weighs approximately 145 lbs. He is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for First Degree Murder While Armed (Premeditated). He can be seen in the photo below:

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
