Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to a Felony Assault on a Police Officer offense that occurred on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in the 4100 block of 4th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 1:02 pm, the suspect approached a uniformed MPD officer at the listed location. The suspect pointed and discharged a lit firework in the direction of the officer. The suspect then fled the scene. The officer was treated for non-life threatening injuries sustained from the firework.
