Suspect Sought in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 5300 Block of Wisconsin Avenue, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Second District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, August 19, 2019, in the 5300 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Northwest.

 

At approximately 4:10 pm, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location.  The suspect took property and exited the establishment.  An employee then confronted the suspect. The suspect brandished a knife and attempted to assault the victim.  The suspect then fled the scene.

 

The suspect was captured by a nearby security camera and can be seen in the photos below:
