Homicide: 1300 Block of Columbia Road, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday, September 19, 2019, in the 1300 block of Columbia Road, Northwest.

 

At approximately 10:01 pm, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival on the scene, officers located five adult male victims and one adult female victim, suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene and transported five of the victims to local hospitals for treatment. One of the adult male victims displayed no signs consistent with life and remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

 

The decedent has been identified as 21 year-old Vincent Carter, of Southeast, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
