Arrests Made in an Unarmed Carjacking Offense: 600 Block of Barnes Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District announced two arrests have been made in reference to an Unarmed Carjacking offense that occurred on Monday, June 21, 2019, in the 600 block of Barnes Street, Northeast.

 

At approximately 3:26 pm, the suspects approached the victim as he sat in a vehicle at the listed location. One of the suspects demanded that the victim exit the vehicle and the victim complied. The suspects then entered the vehicle and attempted to flee. The suspects eventually fled the scene on foot.

 

On Thursday, June 27, 2019, pursuant to DC Superior Court custody orders, a 13 year-old juvenile male, and a 14 year-old juvenile male, both of Northeast, DC, were arrested and charged with Unarmed Carjacking.
