Arrests Made in an Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun) Offense: 4700 Block of South Capitol Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District announced three arrests have been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, May 2, 2019, in the 4700 block of South Capitol Street, Southeast.

 

At approximately 2:20 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. A short time later, a victim responded to a local hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

 

As a result of the detectives’ investigation, it was determined that several suspects, discharged firearms at the listed location, striking the victim.

 

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 25 year-old Damani Carmon, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault With Intent to Kill (Gun).

 

Also on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, 20 year-old Jordon Thurman, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun).

 

On Thursday, May 23, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 26 year-old Lamarro Hawkins, of Oxon Hill, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun).

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
