Arrests Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 200 Block of I Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced two arrests have been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, December 2, 2019, in the 200 block of I Street, Northeast.

 

At approximately 6:35 pm, the suspects were involved in a verbal dispute, inside of a residence, at the listed location. Detectives’ investigation at the scene suggests the suspects brandished handguns and shot each other while inside the residence. Both victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

 

On Wednesday, December 3, 2019, 24 year-old David Roche, of Northeast, DC, and 19 year-old Malik Arif, of Owings Mills, MD, were arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).    

 

This case remains under investigation.
