Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announces an arrest has been made in a homicide that occurred on Saturday, January 26, 2019, in the 4100 block of Hayes Street, Northeast.
At approximately 3:36 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 59 year-old Kevin Jerome Harrison, of Northeast, DC.
On Friday, December 13, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) arrested 39 year-old Paul William Daniel, of Greenbelt, MD. He has been charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
