Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced an arrest has been made in reference to a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, June 22, 2019, in the 300 block of K Street, Southeast.
At approximately 3:18 pm, members of the First District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an unconscious adult male victim, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 22 year-old George Hendrix, of Southeast, DC.
On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested 18 year-old Duron Hudson, of Hyattsville, MD. Hudson has been charged with First Degree Murder While Armed (Premeditated).

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
