Arrest Made in Burglary One and First Degree Sexual Abuse Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit have announced an arrest has been made in reference to Burglary One and First Degree Sexual Abuse offenses that occurred at the following locations:

 

  • First Degree Child Sexual Abuse: Between December of 1999 and December 2000, in the 1400 block of Fairmont Street, Northwest, the suspect engaged in sexual acts with a juvenile victim. CCN: 19-133-117
  • Burglary One/ First Degree Sexual Abuse while Armed (Knife): On Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at approximately 11:30 pm, in the 1400 block of Euclid Street, Northwest, the suspect entered an occupied residence at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and sexually assaulted the victim then fled the scene. CCN: 03-090-620
  • Burglary One/ First Degree Sexual Abuse: On Sunday, June 3, 2007, at approximately 3:30 am, in the 1700 block of Harvard Street, Northwest, the suspect entered an occupied residence at the listed location. The suspect grabbed the victim and sexually assaulted her then fled the scene. CCN: 07-073-387
  • Burglary One/ First Degree Sexual Abuse while Armed (Knife): On Saturday, September 8, 2007, at approximately 2:00 am, in the 1400 block of Columbia Road, Northwest, the suspect entered an occupied residence at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and sexually assaulted the victim then fled the scene. CCN: 07-123-198

 

On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 41 year-old Levi Ruffin, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with three counts of Burglary One, two counts of First Degree Sexual Abuse while Armed, one count of First Degree Sexual Abuse, and one count of First Degree Child Sexual Abuse.
