(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Attempted Kidnapping and Stalking offense that occurred on Friday, June 21, 2019, in the 1500 Block of Benning Road, Northeast.
At approximately, 4:56 pm, the suspect approached the victims. The victim’s attempted to walk away from the suspect. The suspect followed the victim’s to the listed location. The suspect then grabbed the victim by the arm in an attempt to make the victim come with him. The victims were able to flee from the suspect and alert police. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Friday, June 21, 2019, 42 year-old Corbett Edson Turner, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Kidnapping and Stalking.
