Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce an arrest has been made regarding an Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, October 31, 2019, in the 5000 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 1:21 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 18 year-old Jumel Silver, of Northwest, DC. He was charged with Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun).
