Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Rock) offense that occurred on Sunday, June 2, 2019, in the 2100 block of 37th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 2:19 am, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal dispute at the listed location. As the victim was driving away, the suspect threw a large rock at the victim’s vehicle striking the windshield. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. Detectives’ investigation revealed this was a dispute between two known parties.
On Sunday, June 2, 2019, 31 year-old Tony Dimango Morris, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Rock).
