Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense that occurred on Friday, May 10, 2019, in the 1100 block of 15th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 6:21 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect picked up a chair and assaulted the victim. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and refused medical treatment.
On Monday, May 13, 2019, 30 year-old Juan Jose Valiente Garcia, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
