Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 600 Block of H Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announced that an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Friday, June 22, 2019, in the 600 block of H Street, Northwest.

At approximately 9:45 am, the suspect approached the victim with a knife at the listed location. The suspect threatened the victim then assaulted the victim with the knife. Responding officers located and arrested the suspect. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

On Friday, June 22, 2019, 42 year-old Majur Omar Hemsley, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
