Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, February 25, 2019, in the 4900 block of Arkansas Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 4:35 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal dispute at the listed location. During the dispute, the suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threating injuries.
On Friday, March 29, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 42 year-old Norman Graves, of Falls Church, VA, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
