Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 2500 Block of Q Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Sunday, May 12, 2019, in the 2500 block of Q Street, Northwest.

At approximately 11:47 pm, the victim was operating a rideshare vehicle at the listed location. The suspect, who was a passenger in the vehicle, and the victim engaged in a verbal dispute. During the dispute, the suspect brandished a knife and assaulted the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.

On Thursday, May 30, 2019, 21 year-old Christopher Mitchell, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
