Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second and Seventh Districts announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and an Armed Robbery offense that occurred at the below locations.
Seventh District:
- On Sunday, December 22, 2019, at approximately 4:33 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the 2900 block of 30th Street, Southeast for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. CCN: 19-227-551
On Monday, February 10, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 37 year-old Gregory Toran, of Jessup, MD., was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
As a result of the detectives’ investigation, Toran was additionally charged with Armed Robbery (Gun) in reference to the below offense.
Second District:
- On Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at approximately 5:21 am, two suspects approached the victim, inside of a room, in the 800 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest. Once inside, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and both suspects took property from the victim. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 20-008-034
