Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, May 3, 2019, in the 900 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 10:25 pm, the victim was shot by the suspect at the listed location. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Saturday, May 4, 2019, 19 year-old James Guillory, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun), Carrying a Pistol Without a License, and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm.
