Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, July 1, 2019, in the 800 block of Chesapeake Street, Southeast.
At approximately 7:00 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and fired at the victim. No injuries were reported. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers. A firearm was recovered.
On Monday, July 1, 2019, 27 year-old Manuel Thomas, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun). Additionally, 22 year-old Jeremiah Lindsay, of District Heights, MD, was arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol without a License.
