Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 600 Block of Longfellow Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, May 20, 2019, in the 600 block of Longfellow Street, Northwest.

At approximately 5:39 pm, suspects fired a handgun towards the victim’s residence at the listed location. The suspects then fled the scene. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation. There were no reported injuries.

On Monday, May 20, 2019, 19 year-old Marcos Antonio Portillo of Northwest, DC was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
