Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, in the 5300 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 4:06 am, the suspect and victim were involved in an altercation inside of an establishment at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect pointed a handgun at victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, 36 year-old Deaundrye Thompson, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
