Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in the 3000 block of Vista Street, Northeast.

At approximately 2:21 pm, the suspect and victims were involved in an altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a firearm and pointed it at the victims. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. A firearm was recovered. No injuries were reported.

On Tuesday, April 30, 2019, a 31 year-old Tony Wells, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
