Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, August 17, 2019, in the 300 block of Eastern Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 1:12 am, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
- Tuesday, September 10, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 28-year-old Leon White, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
