Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, October 21, 2018, in the 2800 block of Q Street, Southeast.
At approximately 12:02 am, the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and assaulted the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and refused medical treatment.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 35 year-old Eugene Maurice Baskin, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
