Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 1600 Block of 18th Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in the 1600 block of 18th Street, Southeast.

 

At approximately 7:48 pm, the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location.  During the altercation, the suspect brandished a firearm and pointed it at the victim.  The suspect then fled the scene.

 

On Thursday, May  2, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 24 year-old Sean Woodland, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
