Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in the Fourth District.
Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun): At approximately 8:30 am, the suspect approached the victims in the 900 block of Taylor Street, Northwest. The suspect brandished a handgun and struck one of the victims. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and refused medical treatment. CCN: 19-129-511
Armed Robbery (Gun): At approximately 10:00 am, the suspect approached the victim in the 6000 block of 13th Street, Northwest. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene. CCN: 19-129-573
On Monday, July 29, 2019, 29 year-old Brandon Horace Savoy, of Fredericksburg, VA, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and Armed Robbery (Gun).
