Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Brick) offense that occurred on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, in the 1700 block of West Virginia Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 5:30 am, the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect threw a brick and struck the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. The victim was treated on the scene for non-life threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, 29 year-old Dennis Geddie, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Brick).
