Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Bottle) offense that occurred on Sunday, June 23, 2019, in the 900 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 1:55 am, the suspect and the victim were involved in a physical altercation inside of an establishment at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect grabbed a glass bottle and attempted to strike the victim with it. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. No injuries were reported.
On Sunday, June 23, 2019, 25 year-old Derres Teklay, of Arlington VA, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Bottle).
