Arrest Made in 2017 Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offenses in the Seventh District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announced an arrest has been made in reference to Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offenses that occurred in the Seventh District at the following locations.

 

  • On Thursday, November 30, 2017, at approximately 11:40 am, in the 4200 block of Wheeler Road, Southeast, the suspect and the victim were involved in a traffic accident at the listed location. During the incident, the suspect brandished a handgun and fired at the victim, which struck the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was not injured. CCN: 17-206-693
  • On Thursday, December 7, 2017, at approximately 9:59 am, in the 3600 block of 6th Street, Southeast, the suspects fired shots from a vehicle at the listed location then fled the scene. The victim suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 17-210-961

 

On Monday, December 9, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 22 year-old Arthrone Cabos, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).

 

Additionally, Cabos was charged with Destruction of Property and Leaving After Colliding in the offense that occurred on Thursday, November 30, 2017.
