Additional Arrests Made in Sex Trafficking of Children Offenses in Various Parts of the District of Columbia

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth and Family Services Division and Special Agents from Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Washington Field Office, Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force have announced additional arrests have been made in reference to Sex Trafficking of Children offenses, which occurred in various parts of the District of Columbia.

 

Between Friday, April 25, 2019 and Friday, May 16, 2019, the suspects knowingly recruited, enticed, harbored, transported, provided, obtained, and maintained juveniles for commercial sex acts.

 

On Monday, July 29, 2019, pursuant to a DC District Court arrest warrant, a 24-year-old adult male, of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Sex Trafficking of Children.

 

On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, pursuant to a DC District Court arrest warrant, a 45-year-old adult male, of Oxon Hill, MD; a 26-year-old adult female, of Oxon Hill, MD; a 23-year-old adult male, of Oxon Hill, MD; and a 30-year-old adult female, of Suitland, MD, were arrested and charged with Sex Trafficking of Children.

 

On Monday, October 21, 2019, pursuant to a DC District Court arrest warrant, a 45 year old adult female, of Capital Heights, MD, was arrested and charged with Obstruction of Justice in a Sex Trafficking of Children Investigation and Conspiracy to Commit Sex Trafficking of Children

 

On Saturday, October 26, 2019, pursuant to a DC District Court arrest warrant, 21 year old Dyamond Smith, of Oxon Hill, MD, was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Sex Trafficking of Children.
