On Friday, September 11, 2026, at approximately 10:50 pm, Mr. Jovon Graves was shot and killed in the 1900 block of 18th Street, SE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this homicide.
The below information on disciplinary actions includes sustained misconduct investigations referred to MPD’s Disciplinary Review Division that resulted in adverse action in 2025. Adverse actions include any fine, suspension, removal from service, or reduction in rank or pay.
On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at approximately 11:19 pm, Mr. Michael Barnes was shot and killed in the 800 block of Chesapeake Street, SE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this homicide.
On Friday, August 28, 2026, at approximately 1:39 pm, Mr. Cortez Lilly was shot and killed in the 6200 block of Dix Street, NE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this homicide.
